Electroplated barrel plating
Glanszink uses a automatic
barrel plating line.
Most workpieces can be finished with an functional or a decorative
layer of
electroplated zinc.

It is possible to apply thicker layers of electroplated zinc if neccesary.
Most standard used iron and steel grades can be electrolplated with zinc.
Even rustfree steel and cast iron can be electroplated with zinc.
To protect the zinc layer a passivation is applied. This layer protects the resistance against corrosion. This passivation layer consists of a diffuse layer chromates approximately1-2 µm thick.
the plain and yellow passivation is Cr6+ free.
Derusting
and dezincing
Some workpieces have an
extremely thick layer of rust. Other have partially
zinc-plated areas.
These workpieces must be double treated to give the desired plating
results.
Packaging
Usually the finished
products is packaged in the same packaging as it was delivered.
Glanszink is familiar with a broad range of differerent packaging .
Pallets, bins, containers, boxes, bags and so on. Every kind of
packaging can be handled with our workforce. If neccesary Glanszink can
arrange a suitable packaging formula for your finished product so that
the plating quality is maintained.
